Herbal Extraction Plant

Herbal Extraction PlantA highly beneficial SSP Herbal Extraction Plant can be used for extraction of herbs as well as for powder manufacturing. The plant offered by us is an integrated unit that produces quality herbal powder.

Our herbal extraction plants are automated and provide functional ease to the plant operators. These plants are meant for extracting various herbal medicines and any photo chemicals from parts of plant or tree, including leaves, flowers, seeds, bark, roots and shrubs.
Processes Involved:
The extract from the different herbs, like neem, ashwagandha, mulati, amla, etc. can be obtained in an extractor with the help of water or other solvents or with a combination of both. The extracted material is filtered and concentrated in a vacuum evaporator. Finally the concentrated material is spray dried to yield powder.

The space requirement for this type of plant is approx. 300 sq. yards of area. The capacity of the unit varies for different products. With some added features, on specific demand, this plant can be used for solvent extraction, aqueous, polar or any non - polar solvent.
Salient features of SSP Herbal Extraction Plant:
  • Concentration of the extract can be prepared at low temperature and short contact process.
  • Maximum recovery of the active ingredient in the extract since thermal degradation is completely avoided by the advanced process technology used in our plant.

Honey Processing Plant

Honey Processing PlantThe operations of our honey processing plant are completely automated. As the processing of honey is a sticky operation, which requires time and patience to achieve the best results, it should be processed as soon as it is removed from the hive. Careful protection against contamination by ants and other insects is needed at all stages of processing.

The moisture content in honey plays an important role in deciding the quality of honey. Honey with more than 20% moisture are thinner in consistency and is liable to spoilage due to fermentation & granulation. The collection, storage & handling of honey should be carried out in a proper manner under uncontrolled conditions including climatic factors. Proper cleaning of the equipment installed in the plant should be done, as honey is the consumable product. Furthermore, honey is hygroscopic and can absorb moisture, therefore all honey processing equipment must be perfectly dry. Too much water in honey causes it to ferment.
Processes Involved:
  • Liquification
  • Pre-Heating and Straining
  • Micro-filtration
  • Inactivation of Yeast Cells (Processing)
  • Vacuum Evaporation
  • Cooling of Honey
Composition of honey prepared in our honey processing plant:
  • Water (Moisture) 20%
  • Fructose (Levulose) 37%
  • Glucose (Dextrose) 34%
  • Sucrose (Non - Reducing Sugar) 5.0%
  • Total Ash (Minerals) 0.25%
  • Acids Organic 0.20%
  • Proteins, Amino Acids, etc. 1.50%
  • Other ingredients including pollen grains 1.05%
